Ethics statement
Advising others on responsible innovation and ethics means, rightly, that people judge me on my own conduct. Here are some decisions I’ve made to guide my business behaviour.
Triple bottom line · I evaluate my decisions and performance according to three pillars: people, planet, and profit. This means I choose projects carefully, supporting only initiatives that bring benefit to companies, social stakeholders, and the world alike.
No deceptive designs · I will never design a product, interface, or system that knowingly misleads or disadvantages a customer.
Travel · I prioritise low-carbon transport, with my travel policy applying when flying is unavoidable.
Honest representation · I will never deceive a client about my capabilities and suitability. If I’m not right for a project or task, I’ll tell you.
Tax · I will never use artful or marginal practices to reduce my corporation or personal tax liabilities. I employ only standard accounting practices and deductions.
